I painted a couple shelves with americana decor chalk paint but don't have that brand of clear wax . Could i use my annie sloan clear wax over it ?

is the clear wax the only one thst "seals & protect"?

did she use the white wax to 1st to get a matte Finish? I'm confused abt all the different waxes and what the finished product will look.

Viewers, this wax is not like Annie Sloan's wax. This wax is thin like Mod Podge or Elmer's glue. I used it on a chair. It's really different. I have not used the dark wax yet.

I painted the top of a sideboard in carbon (black), then went over it with clear and dark wax. My "lint free" cotton cloth (white) left a nasty finish that just couldn't be helped. I'm going to start over again with the carbon. I had a buttery soft finish with the chalk paint alone - I shouldn't have waxed at all! :(

Hello how long do you wait for clear wax to dry before applying dark wax ?
