Great tips! Surprising that my own eye doctor never explained these best practices when prescribing drops. You are wonderful.

Wow. In just those few minutes you've transformed my routine - I no longer need to rely on someone else to do my drops for me. Most helpful was resting the dominant hand on the other hand, using it as a steadying and positioning guide. First time, both eyes, no problem! Thank you.

I am 75 with no eye drop experience and about to have cataract surgery on both eyes this month. Finding your video has been SO helpful. I now feel like I can manage those drops when my surgery comes around! Bracing the eye drop giving hand is great advice! Thank you.

The whole video was very informative. I think the best part was the placing of the hands while installing them. I usually just put my head back and take aim from above. And yes, I usually end up wearing some of the drops.

Two of my favorites were about resting the eye dropper hand on the hand holding the eyelid down, and the one about using your finger near the bridge of your nose to block the drainage holes. Also, about the keeping the eye closed after dropping in the eye drop. Helpful stuff. Thank you.

I have a devil of a time getting drops in my eyes. The tip of resting your hand on the one holding the lower lid was the most helpful to me. Thank you Dr. Allen.

I just started taking eye drops for glaucoma. I knew about putting my head back and pulling down my lower eye lid, but your suggestion of resting the dominant hand on the other hand was very helpful and getting an eye drop 'squeezer' (about $5 from Amazon) really made the whole process easy. Thank you.

Thank you for these tips! I am scheduled for cataract surgery next week, and have 3 different prescription eye drops I have to use (2 of them 4 times/day). I am a little apprehensive about this because I can NEVER get the drops in my eye, and was afraid I might waste too much ! These tips will help! Thank you!

I actually administer numerous eye drops to a client. And one of those drops are quite thick, and I shuffled the way I drop them. Now I know to drop it last. Thank you

I am 70 years old and had never put a drop in my eye until 4 days ago, the day before cataract surgery, I was having no luck so I searched you tube for a helpful video. Yours popped up and was extremely helpful. Steadying your dominant hand with the bottle on your other hand was probably the most helpful but all the tips were great. Thank you!

I’m a retired doctor and have to start using eye drops, per the ophthalmologist, I tried several times with varying success. This young “wiper-snapper” (a joke) doctor does a great job teaching me, so common sensical. Thanks for doing this!

Thanks for giving a shoutout to Pharmacists! I really appreciate that a lot coming from other healthcare providers.

Never knew i had to pull the skin below the lower lid!! It’s so much more effective than what I do (pulling the upper eyelid backwards ugh) thanks for curing my decade-long wastage of eyedrops 🤪

Thank you doc! This is my first time putting drops on my own ;—; i got a deep corneal abrasion this week and my doc has given me antibiotic drops to help prevent bacterial infections so thank you again!

Very helpful video! I think my issue has always been blinking too much after getting in the drops. But it's like applying mascara for the first time: you just got to practice enough until eventually your eyes get used to it

This is by far the best description on how to put an eye drop. All the ones I've seen are all trash. But this works perfectly all the time. Thank you.
