I purchased the Forney 140 Easy Weld for in hopes that I would be able to lay a bead with zero experience! Reality did not happen as I had hoped! I called Forney in hopes they had a video for people like me. This is the only instruction available BUT Diane gave me her advice based on pic's I E Mailed and sought advice from a Forney welder and called me the next day!!!! I have a great hobby welder machine from a company that professional customer service! That's something you seldom find in today's market place! THANKS DIANE! Well done!

I just got one of these to fix my riding lawnmower. Jason is one of the reasons I got this machine. He really did an excellent presentation. The other reason was I called Forney and spoke with a nice lady there in Tech Support and she was awesome and answered every question I had. I love a company to have expert people working there and Forney has expert people working there to help you.

I bought this exact welder and the plasma cutter, I love them both, I had trouble with the wire cutting in and out, popping and spattering like crazy, come to find out it was my fault, I was putting my tip to close to where I was welding, stick out was to close, I thought I had enough distance between them, yesterday I was welding and pulled back by accident and was blown away at the difference, these machines are awesome, they run great and have no problems with anything I’ve thrown at them, great products for sure

Thanks for those tips dude, I couldn't find a way to pass the wire through the drive roll! I really appreciate your help!!

Excellent explaination: I did notice that the two pound spool has casting and can make it difficult when feeding the wire. I am going to try the 10 lb spool. Than you Forney, you are the best!

Decided to look up my welder to get an idea of the best ways 2 get what I need out of it. I guess I have chosen wisely because I had everything he mentioned in mind. Including being able to make my own brackets and replace paneling as well as reinforce my small trailer. Spent most of my time with Oxy-acetalene and stick welding but I needed 2 make sure I had something to tick 95% of the boxes. Thanks for the video and the added personal preferences.

Hi, I have a easy weld 140 FC-I. How do I get the thermal overload light to reset? The welder was working fine all the time and then after not using it for a couple of months, when I plugged it in and turned it on, the thermal overload light came on as soon as I turned it on and and the fan is on. What do you suggest to check?

Been welding for a few years now. Mainly with argon. I purchased this one for home and for thin sheet metal for body work. At amps set at 1. And wire feed around 1-3. I still burn through. Tried two different brands of wire. .30 on both. ???

I recently bought one. Running lots of beads on 1/8" mild steal to determine appropriate settings. The panel chart shows 7 and 7. I looked at the chart provided with the Forney 140 MP. That chart says 5 and 5. Both machines should have same guts for .030 FC, so why the difference in charts? Im currently set to 4 & 5 and so far looks ok. The flux still doesnt come off easily. Im using the lincoln .030 wire if that makes a difference. I know the charts say GS wire.
