Your channel is amazing. I'd never played Minecraft until my son wanted to try it. Neither of us knew what to do at all so we've been watching lots of your videos together, and playing together and it's really brought us much closer and we both look forward to spending that time together. Thank you for what you do. It's more impactful that you might think at first glance.

For me, the biggest danger of creepers is that they can sneak up from behind you and blow up before you have time to react. This is why I'm really strict w/ my spacial awareness in hardcore. Make sure to keep the door to your house closed (iron door + buttons helps a bunch). Avoid walking around at night, and if you do, keep moving and watching your back. It's even good to keep this in mind during the day. Anything that keeps you facing in one direction (specifically crafting + dealing with other menus) should only be done in areas you know are secure.

Advice for the warden from someone who cleaned multiple ancient cities in hardcore:

Build multiple nether portals in the ancient city, place them smart and use them as your way of escape. After teleporting away, the Warden immediately loses sight and will dissapear immediately after you return back... if you keep sneaking/making no noise ofc.

Been playing MC for years and I never knew you could hold an Enderman in place with a staring contest

Ender pearls are always a good thing to have next to your water bucket in your hot bar. In many of these dangerous situations you talked about, teleporting away is a sure way to escape the danger. For example, the Warden. If you don’t have elytra, you can just teleport away instead.

A couple notes here:
1: in Bedrock 1.20.40 the boat clutch has been enabled, boats now negate falldamage on both versions.
2: In Bedrock the trick of staring at Endermen does *not* work at all, you'll get yourself killed if you try (like I did ages ago)

Literally keep dying in my hardcore worlds so this video is coming at the perfect time.

Fun fact: did you know that skeletons can shoot and agro through powdered snow blocks? I didn’t. An almost 100 day hardcore world gone cause of powdered snow and a skeleton.

Heres what you do: Back up your world in short periods of time from time to time. If you die, just go to "backups" and put the file to "saves". Simple.

10:45 Another alternative guys, you can sometimes just mine a block below in front of a lava flow, especially when you're mining in a tunnel. It wont get to you.

My theory is players die in Minecraft because of creepers, but some players die in Minecraft because of creepers without knowing that there's a creeper near or behind them. (in my experience, i die because of creepers because i wasn't aware that there was a creeper because they creep up behind you hence the name, creeper

For skeletons, on bedrock, the arrows will even bounce off the shield and damage the skeleton. So it's worth it to get closer to them if you're unarmed. To allow the bouncing arrow to hit the skeleton. I've killed a few this way.

Trident drowneds have been my newest killer. I have had my boat hit by a trident then been hit by the trident twice before I've had a shield a few times, in hardcore. I need a training hall with "The Worst" in my practice world, I think.

My favorite tip for dealing with wardens (and sculk sensors): You can actually sprint jump WHILE sneaking! Simply start sprint jumping, and then, before your feet hit the ground, hold sneak. You’ll be quite fast and undetectable! Even faster with the fast sneak enchantment.

Skeleton are more dangerous than creepers

21:35 There actually is another way to stop yourself from drowning really easily, and thats placing sugar cane on a dirt, gravel, or sand LEDGE. Even if you are in a stone cave or something just put a dirt block downon a flat surface to create a ledge, and place 2 sugar cane on top!

1. Thank you for your work, I really need someone to patiently explain minecraft to me, and I feel I’m getting better at the game. What is more, this helps me a lot, as I am very scared of mobs, bad villagers, caving, nether etc, cos I’m scared to die. So yeah, it helps me a lot, I feel safer thanks to you. 🙏
2. I LOVE that you describe everything so calmly, you have a vibe of Animal Planet narrator, e.g., ,As you can see, I got closer to the mob and I died.” And I absolutely ADORE it 😂❤

I usually use the “running away from warden” method also. However, sometimes I’ll run into a cave that has a dead end in it. And the warden will come and kill me…

You can also use hay bales to reduce fall damage, very useful to take to the Nether especially as you can also use them to make backup food in emergencies!
