1.why we need to wind the seiko watch?
2.what the meaning of term wind here?

In seiko Manual winding watch do we need to wind it each and every day before stepping out? Or similar to other automatic watches will it get wind automatically according to the wrist movement?

Note that there is the entry level automatic Seiko 5 sub brand and prior to 2019 when the trDitional Seuko 5 line was replaced with the Seiko 5 Sport sub brand, the Seiko 5 could only be wound by mo ement not by the crown hence there was the "Seiko Shake" where one would hold the Seiko 5 in your hand and shake it back and forth to wind it up. It also ussd to be that the Seiko 5's omitted not only the crown winding feature but the hack setting of the second hand so you often couldn't set the Seiko 5 more precisely than to the nearest minite despite it being a reasonably precise mechanism. I've heard that some of the current Seiko 5 Sport watches do have a hack feature so dome people are modding their old Seiko 5 with the mechanisms of newer Seiko 5 Sportages. However, it should be noted that Seiko has always sold a consumer version of the mechanisms they use in the Seiko 5 to watchmakers to make bespoke watches, under different model number and these versions tend to have more features in them than the mechanisms used in the traditional Seiko 5. Also prior to 2019, you could guess the manufacture date from the Serial number of a Seimo 5 but you can't do that with the Seiko 5 Sport though eventually collectors will build up a database of serial number ranges known for various years. Personally, I think the ability to estimate the manufacture date from the serial number and mechanism number was an important reason why the Seiko 5 became collectable.

The true Seiko watches such as the Presage are quite different from the Seiko 5 line.

Note that when I bought my Seiko 5 out of the display case, the clerk packed it in a box with a manual for a regular Seiko resulting in 30 years of confusion over why I couldn't wind it through the crown, couldn't hack it to the second and as to how to change the day of the week both in languages and just the day of the week.

Set the date to the day before. Put the hands on 6:30, wind the watch, set the time.

I just purchased a seiko dressKX a week ago. It's a new watch. But why do I have to wind it around 20 times for the hands to start moving? I own a seiko presage and an orient, I would only need to wind them about 4-5 times to move the hands.

Good afternoon, I'm off topic but I need help. My bride gave me a watch from the 70s “Tian Harlan corhmachron ”, the head only rotates counterclockwise, is this normal? Or should I apply force and rotate clockwise? I'm afraid I'll spoil it because it's a wedding gift, it means a lot to me.

Today I adjusted the time by Turning little backwards, is it not good I am doing it first time. Does it affect the functionality of the Watch.So far it runs good I did it to correct the time because it was running 2 minutes fast now it runs perfectly. Please advise .
