What is wrong with people? How self absorbed do you have to be to not pick up after yourself on someone else's property?

This is absolutely disgusting. The utter disrespect is astounding. This is how to ensure that another festival will NOT take place ever again.

People aren't worse than animals, animals are just much better than people.

At the entrance of a lot of national parks in America have a sign that says "Take Only Memories and Leave Only Footprints." That motto should already be ingrained in the minds and maturity of all adults.

Also - the festival needs to work in part with the attendees, by at the bare minimum having lots of trash & recycling bins and clear signs. They should have at least marked trash piles for the last day so people can stack the garbage for easier removal and clearly promoting that goers clean up after themselves etc. I been to many festivals that go above and beyond to make you feel responsible for your part to help clean up as an honor to use the space. Hope more people can get on board with that and make a habit out of it. <3

For those saying that the organizers should have provided more trash receptacles, I'm almost positive that people willing to leave behind entire tents (which are probably also full of trash) would not care to utilize garbage cans/bins.

I do hope that the tents get donated to the homeless xx

All you social media "influencers" who were there posting with all your peace love harmony: Thanks no thanks. Welcome to The Machine, hypocrites.

Disgraceful, disrespect. You bring it in, you take it out.

It's a cultural thing. The Japanese would never leave the place like this!!

Compare that to Burning Man. The crews leave it spotless.

This is what we are and this is what we do, we take, we destroy, and most prevalent we waste.

The last line of the Purpose of Leeds...."place to celebrate connection in all its forms: not just to music, arts, and culture, but to the environment and each other."....😢

this is a bummer, even though we do need to make people realize how important it is to (leave no trace behind) whatever festival this is, idk, but let's not make this the norm or how people see festival goers.. i feel like ya'll know better. If you love live music, don't ruin a place that provides it.

I lose a bit more of my hope that humanity will come together to help each other AND heal Gaia when I see such waste.
