Reminds me of a t shirt my Dad has that says “I can’t act my age. I’ve never been this old before.”

Realizing that no one really knows how to "adult" has taken such a weight off my shoulders. I used to be freaked out because I was in my late 20s and still didn't "feel like an adult", but the reality is that everyone is just winging it and pretending, there's no guide book for this and you're not just going to suddenly feel and think in a different way than when you were 16 or 17. I think so many of us get trapped in our own minds and start to lose sight of the bigger picture of our existence, and just how special it is.

Watching this just hours after one of my buddies passed away at 25... with 2 young kids. I can't imagine all the pain from fatherless and motherless families throughout our existence.

I'm 44, going to be 45 next month, and I barely know what to do with myself now. I still feel like I should be right out of college, experiencing things for the first time, charged with energy to go after them. But my body tells me otherwise every time I struggle to get out of bed or stand up from a chair. My mind still is 20, but my body isn't.

My mother once told me that her grandmother had bared 13 children. But unfortunately 8 of them died in childhood. Only 5 became adults including my grandfather.

I am over 50, and while I can complain about entrophy, I feel so priviledged to have "survived" this long. We should appreciate more about what we have, and of just existing.

That is what we forget to be grateful for everything and how small our problems really are.

Great video but why is YouTube recommending me to get an existential crisis at 14? 😭

The physical stress/pain/hunger has now been replaced with anxiety, depression and debt slavery, we need to enter a third stage where we avoid both, most of our battles are now mental/existential but never the less real to the person experiencing it.

I didn't think a YouTube video could make me well up and cry like a baby. We forget how lucky we are to be human beings, to have what we have, experience what we experience, know what we know. I'm proud to be a human being. We all should be.

I thought it was going to be a video where you explain how most adults don't act like adults, for instance adults who shame on other peoples bodies, adults who rage against their children for being children, adults without accountability, without self control, adults who are really older kids

My grandmother who lived to be 101 years old told me that in the past babies were not given names until they turned one. She said that you did not want to get emotionally invested because so many of them died.

This is why, no matter how depressing and infuriating the World becomes, I am dead set on saving this burning wreck of a global society with what power I have. We have so much more potential now, than for 270, 000 years of existence. We can do so much more, if we just survive this hump of problems.
