Lean On Me - Napier comes to get Joe

one of the best scenes in the movie
what pastor hasn't felt like this at times?
Have you been taken to a church that has a "reputation" for being wild and unruly?
Maybe you can relate to how Joe and Frank feel about saving their school district.

Napier is the only person that can get Clark in line. Nobody else in this film could do it. Freeman & Guillaume's performances were just stellar.

One of my favorite lines of film. "Your life hasn't made one bit of difference and neither has mine!" So powerful.

Morgan Freeman and Robert Guillaume deserved Oscar nominations for their brilliant performance in this film.

The writing and dialogue between these 2 is incredible. Dr Napier chews him out a couple times but he ends it in a way where they remain friends with no harm to their friendship. The way he says “and neither has mine” with that awkward smile. It’s like he’s yelling at himself as well as Joe, but mostly a pep talk to Joe from a good friend.

And neither has mine! ...Wanna take that to the grave? This movie has some of the best writing of any movie ever. Hits you deep.

A person once wrote, this man needs to be the superbowl halftime show. Just him a book and microphone. It would be the biggest halftime show ever.

I live in LA. There are schools whose students for the past 50 years have received spotty inadequate mind-numbing soul crushing low expectations. HEY! When you don’t have accountability pride and love for your kids, it culminates in kid’s dropping out. Getting involved with gangs and drugs. So parents, if you want to help your kids and don’t know how - you have overwhelming challenges or you were never given a good role model ( better to be honest now than when you have to be pulled into juvie court and your kids starts the school to prison pipeline. Parents, you have to want more your kids; you must instill within them at least behavior so they can be successful. So swallow your pride and get help. They are there to help you.

Napier's truth had that "if I'm going down, you're going down with me and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it." vibe that Joe needed to hear.
