Giant Sequoia in Great Britain, is called Wellingtonia, after their great Field Marshal who kicked Napoleon's ass. They started germinating seeds back in the late 1840's to act as landscaping for their baronial estates. And, to a somewhat lesser degree, for that selfsame landscaping, you may also find Ponderosa Pine, Coastal Redwood, Sugar Pine, Jeffrey Pine, the Foothills/Digger/Grey Pine (I call those Mourning Greys), and Coulter Pines. Coulters have the largest and heaviest cones, up to a half-yard long/10" diameter and 12 pounds, armed with grizzly-claw spines at the ends of the scales. Stay away from THOSE trees, during windstorms.

Is it possible to drive directly to the Moro Rock trailhead from the Giant Forest Museum with a private vehicle during July?
