The best day hike in Sequoia National Park (SEKI) is the Lakes Trail to Heather, Emerald and Pear Lake.

The 12 mile round trip hike up to Pear Lake offers great variety for your trip to Sequoia. Between Lush Redwood Forest, Steep granite ledges and stunning alpine lakes, This trail really has it all!

Thanks for the great video - I absolutely agree - the best day hike in the Sequoia Park. With regard to other comments - I agree - avoid the Hump! For more adventurous hikers, do the Lakes Trail to Pear Lake, then up to Moose Lake, and come around the back of the range through Alta Meadow. Or go the reverse. Makes for a great hike...you don't see anything twice!

Really enjoyed the commentary of whether this is the best hike of the year (outside Iceland) and not to take the hump. Good tips.

My favorite hike. Underrated. Most people stop at the first lake but continuing to emerald lake is so worth it. And you can swim in it!

Is there a lake behind the old lady talking in the video? I'm confused.
