It solely depends on the calibration of you coffee grounds either the extraction is tight you can lower the pressure of your tamp or if its to fast you can tamp harder but if it still doesn't stick to a right flow you can just calibrate the coffee bean until you reach your desired flow COFFEE UP

This makes me happy. I am a bih strong guy and I do feel if I tamp my coffee to hard that I'll get a bad extraction or water won't flow at all. I have noticed that when I'm more confident with my tamps. I pull better shots. This makes my day to know that I can be firm and not worry.
