THE CROSSOVER I COULD NEVER HAVE PREPARED FOR

seriously, as a fan of this channel, and a HUGE oceanliner nerd, i wouldve never expected you of all youtubers to kinda delve into this stuff. that being said, it is much appreciated.

I won't spoil anything, that defeats the replay value of this awesome game. I will say this: you can calm down. You don't have to rush through everything. The game times you, but it isn't actively running down a clock. The game progresses through certain story beats, meaning you can miss out on some paths by going too long down another, but the game won't progress to the sinking stage until you reach a certain point. Once you're in the sinking half of the game, you're still not timed in real-time, rather you have a limited number of story beats before the 'timer' reaches 0 and the game assigns you an ending based on your accomplishments.

*Now, if anyone is interested in some history tidbits, game facts, inaccuracies, etc.*

1. The game isn't actually set in a full 3D model. Instead, it's a series of still pictures that slide together to give the illusion of semi-free movement, with the exception of the model of the entire ship in cutscenes.

2. Obviously, the characters are portrayed with real images of actors, with mouths, eyes, etc. pieced together for certain emotions, sort of like how stop-motion animation is done. Each character is voiced by a voice actor, not by the person representing them.

3. It was actually possible to climb to the top of the fourth funnel, as its smoke output was much lower, but it would never have been a place to store boxes.

4. Titanic had 6 boiler rooms, but I think the game only shows 5.

5. The first class corridors were actually white and much more narrow. Whether the devs knew that or not, it makes sense to colour-coordinate them for the game, making them stand out.

6. Titanic also had a Turkish bath, but the one in this game is actually based on the layout of the baths in Titanic's sister ship, Olympic. Titanic's baths were different and never photographed until recently on the wreck. They're in remarkable condition, considering.

7. Originally, the game developers were not going to design the ship accurately at all.

8. There were other games in the series planned, such as one for the Hindenburg, but Cyberflix went under before any others could be made.

9. An unintentional accuracy- after the ship breaks apart in-game, the stern is shown spinning around before going under. It's overly dramatic, but we now know that the stern did, in fact, spin around and face the opposite direction before sinking fully, with the fourth funnel still attached, at least in part.

I am SCREAMING right now, I LOVED this game and no one but me seems to remember it! For years I thought it was some kind of fever dream. Obviously I'm biased by nostalgia but this is PEAK creepy and comfy for me! Your selections are always fantastic, can't wait to watch this one unfold.

My family picked this game up from a walmart bargain bin around the time the movie was being released, I think. I was very young and didn't understand it in the slightest, but the memories have stuck with me. Myst and Titanic: Adventure Out of Time instilled a life long love of per-rendered graphics and point and click adventure games

Believe me when I tell you I RUSHED to this video when I saw it posted. I was one of the people that recommended this video on his Discord. This game was a huge part of my childhood. I’m still haunted by the music and sinister atmosphere, and this game was a huge contributing factor for my lifelong interest in the Titanic and history as a whole. Thank you for finally playing this game, Librarian. 💜

Love this game it has a few of my favorite topics, time travel, history, mystery and of course Titanic. So many dumb random facts I could say. Like RMS Titanic was the second sister of three Olympic class ships. Or that her older sister Olympic was the only surviving member of the class. That the third sister Britannic never got to live as an ocean liner and sank as a hospital ship ww1. That the Marconi company would be responsible for the wireless equipment and staff and not the ships company. Or that white star line would merge with Cunard and technically still exist as it would be taken over by the latter. God this game is cool.

This game was my jam when I was younger! Happy to see you playing it. I do have a few tips:

Trask (the psychic) can give you helpful readings on various objects, which can help point you in the right direction if you ever feel stuck.

Also, talk to the other passengers as much as you can. They can provide very valuable information regarding your objectives.

I've seen this game in a documentary show. The specific episode was about a kid who seems to have had past life memories of having worked on the Titanic

I’d love to see you cover more historical games, may I suggest Ad Infinitum? A psychological WWI horror game

Matpat once theorized that if the ship didn't crash, we would've lost WW1, or something like that, I can't remember exactly what he said
