In this video, we are travelling to a lesser-known place on planet Earth, a remote valley in Pakistan, an area where the ancient group of Kalash lives. There are less than 4000 Kalash people left in the world, and we are going to celebrate and dance with them at their annual Kalash festival.

The Kalasha Valleys are valleys in Chitral District in northern Pakistan. The valleys are surrounded by the Hindu Kush mountain range. The inhabitants of the valley are the Kalash people, who have a unique culture, language and follow a form of ancient Hinduism.

A good contribution made to explore the knowledge about the minority people living in very remote places where still such people have preserved their culture. Thanks for the availability of such video.

There's this community in Assam, India called Kalita. I'm a Kalita myself. We were the first Aryans to ever come to the northeast of India and my ancestors were the first speakers of the assamese language ( the easternmost Indo-European language). While I was searching for some ancestry related topic of the Kalita community, I get to know that Assamese language shares some similarity with Kalasha language. Even the community names are quite similar Kalita & Kalasha. I'd really like someone to look further into it. Cheers !

Good valley with people who respect their nature, culture and art, the results is beautiful. Religion is not supposed to separate us, not border to each other.
Pakistan is not my list to visit oneday but I change my mind cause I saw this beautiful community and nature.

Congratulations to Kalash people, who are determined to keep their tradition and religion.
As far as the rest of us, we must have some respect for people that struggle to keep up with difficulties.
They are different but precious. Unesco has proven this, accepting all their ways and protect them.
The Alexander the Great's tradition is still alive. Let's keep it this way!

Kalash people have gained the name from Kailash Mountain.
They seem to have been migrated from the mountain KAILASH for survival and to save them from coldest weather of Kailash.
