Also props to her for correcting the news anchor who was trying to create a false narrative about her returning the Vision Pro like she had bought it

The best use is to zone out on a plane???
you could already do that with any $500 vr headset

It’s crazy to me how people can have such vastly different experiences with this device I see some people and reviewers living in this thing and some workers who say it changed there lives while others not so much just go to show that you really need to try this product out for yourself and not go off anyone’s review honestly

Just wait till Spatial front court seats to sports games / concerts. Vision Pro has a ways to go but will obviously be a hot seller for a niche group.

Is there a big difference between men and women?

I can imagine many women would not want to mess up their hair and make-up.

I want to see the cross-over of people who bought this and who complain about not being to buy a house or afford groceries.

The Vision Pro was only hype because Apple made it. But the truth is that this product category doesn't have widespread appeal. It's heavy. It's impractical. And the use cases are not more appealing that the tactility of a phone. Plus, go figure, people mostly want to live in the real world

Not surprised with this...
I don't have an AR set, but with my Quest 2, I use is sometimes for media and sometimes for games...
The only thing I used it for daily is exercise (Beat Saber/Audio Trip type things)...
I'm assuming Vision Pro also has those type of apps (or will - Just heard her mention an exercise app), and that can make it daily for that.
But other than that, I can't see any of these products being used for work/long term daily use.
We've got a long way until the AR tech gets good enough for that...

What a legend. He'll have those 3D videos forever. I'm sure he wasn't wearing it too long, great to capture some moments.

Retention is one of the issues with XR. This isn't just affecting Vision Pro, but also Quest 3 and other headsets have had this issue. There isn't as much of a 10x use case for XR at the moment except for medical and industrial applications

Apple Vision Pro isn't a product for the masses. It's an incredible product. Lot's of potential. Amazing movie watching experience. Not meant for gaming or exercising (not yet anyway)

It is meant for productivity for Mac Pro users, entertainment and for the tech enthusiast who truly enjoy having the latest tech.

If you're not a tech enthusiast or a power mac user, you're not the intended/ target audience.

Many will not buy this headset at $3, 500 for this reason.

It's the same reason why many choose to buy a cheaper mac book air vs a more expensive mac book pro, iphone pro etc.

I actually really like mine. I think she likely isn’t the target audience for the product. She is probably a parent with kids and so she can’t actually be in the headset for long periods of time.

The issue I have with it is that it should be lighter or have better support to make the experience more effortless. Currently I use it to watch movies and play games. The screens are amazing and if micro oled tvs ever become cheap enough, I’ll upgrade immediately.

The Apple reality distortion field seems to get these so called tech journalists every time. Then they come off the supposed high and find out the device isn't more productive. The best thing they say about it is you can watch movies etc in it. There are far better options to do that for $500 or less without the massive bulk.

She talks about using this for movie watching on airplanes. Being shes in tech she should know theres eyeglasses like the XReal with OLED screens that weight 12x less and you can watch movies on a 120in screen and can be stored in an eyeglass container, unlike the AVP which is basically taking up your carry on luggage in it's huge case.

If the Vision Pro was cheaper people would be keeping it. Also, if the Vision Pro was cheaper it wouldn't exist as it is today. Meta Quest is still the best product that if people want to go out and buy, they can because of it's price point. It's affordable enough to buy and not feel bad when you don't use it all the time. $3, 500 is an absurd piece of depreciating tech to purchase and not use constantly.
