First day of having new glasses or baseball mitt one must get used to using. Also, this is the initial launch of a new platform. I’m sure they will evolve to have a lighter set of goggles for immersion and set of glasses for everyday use. This is day one, like IPhone launch, AirPods. I agree, this is 3-5 event, though we will be surprised how many will buy within the next year or two.

Resolution is one of the most important aspects for a VR/AR headsets. No you can’t currently watch a proper video with the quest 2 due to the low resolution, you better off watch it on the tv or monitor. But with apple vision pro, each lens is more than 4K! No, you can’t do this on the quest 2.

What I really need is something that can give me multiple 5K displays for video editing. I also think they need better social abilities, to collectively watch and work on stuff with people in the same room. But this version really just may be too f'ing amazing for me to pass up. Can't wait to see where this goes. Really exciting.

Gonna wait for VP2 where it is 50% lighter, 40% thinner and battery lasts 2x as long. VP1 is too chonk for me.

Apple isn't competing with meta, apple is competing with travel for face to face meetings and knocking it out of the park! About the "thing on your face" problem -you can quantify that with a "would you rather" session. Would you rather where the VP to view a 3D movie? Compared to Imax? Compared to a $10k home theater? Compared to a $5000 laptop? ....

Think about live events. I can see the VP experience being better than any seat in the house! And you could literally design your own private party to share it with!!!! Think about apple music accounts being used to buy these experiences!

I'm not worried about the pricing as they aren't priced for me. those prices are for Samsung, Facebook, Microsoft etc. who are gonna be buying these in bulk so they can tear down and imitate the tech inside, just stopping short of a copyright lawsuit 🤣
