Drought Hack: Paint Your Lawn Green...

Lawn painting is one way Californians are dealing with the drought – literally turning brown lawns green. Fresno lawn painter Josh Cox shows AJ+ how it's not too different from painting a house. From video journalist Jessica Sherry in California.

This is a short term fix for a long term problem. Plant drought resistant plants and use rock and gravel to make your yard look awesome forever. I don't even live in a drought area and I'm considering it just to lower my water bill and never need to mow again.

Doesn't that make it absorb more light now like in its original state? with a possibility of drying it up even more and killing the grass completely?

it's vegetable dye, which means it will discolor by the sunshine and turn blue.
