So funny about the “place-holders”! I’ve done the same & found surprises! Thank you for encouraging experimentation; I have learned SO much this way. Thankful for chickens & neighbor farm animals to benefit from the failures! Found that 2 TBSP of dehydrated meat & veggies/per person = awesome soup/stew (for those unsure, it’s a start). 🙏❤

I remind people that you don’t have to grow it to “preserve” it! I buy bulk from Azure especially foods I can’t grow in bulk. I just put up 20lb butternut squash and 25lb carrots and 3lb frozen cranberry that I made into sauce. We love having healthy fast food on the shelf. I love freeze drying bone broth. It takes up less space and so easy to reconstitute…just add hot water. I also FD 20lb of red peppers from Azure…my peppers wear a flop in Texas this summer.

So glad you all found a new group to fellowship with. God bless. It would be nice if you did a new video on books.

Yes I have the nesco and I've used it for years actually decades. I also have the Excalibur recently and it cost well over $100 to buy the steel trays. I also dehydrate herbs by just hanging them. Like you say there's lots of ways to dehydrate. I do not however, dehydrate outside because I live by an open field with critters and it's hard enough to keep them out of my garden let alone clean and dehydrated food.

Speaking of linen, I recently found 3 100% linen tops at our second hand shop, for under $5 each. Joy!!! A fourth one was just not my color, however when it went on the reduced rack for 50 cents, yup, I took it😅 my sleepshirt is linen too, lovely feel!!!
