I decided to repeat the journey of characters from Plato's dialogue “The Laws”. And I filmed the whole thing on a GoPro camera.
Plato’s Laws features three characters: an Athenian, a Spartan and a Cretan. They are on a pilgrimage from Knossos to the sanctuary of Zeus on Mount Ida. On the island of Crete obviously.
So my journey takes me from the waterfront of Heraklion to the hills near Tylissos, then to the town of Moni. From Moni we proceed to the picturesque Moniano Gorge. On the other side we go uphill to Anogia. Which is our main stop. From Anogia we continue to the Ideon Cave (aka Ideon Antron, Σπήλαιο Ιδαίον Άντρον).
