My Dad went on a Caribbean cruise with Carnival a few years back and forgot his underwear. It was hilarious! It has become a family legend story since then. Every cruise we all make it a point to individually remind him to bring his undies. Lol

Thanks for posting a new packing video. Your timing is perfect! Our dressing style is not at all similar, but the taste level is the same. We are leaving next week for the Panama Canal cruise, and I really needed a refresher. Ciao!

I would put a bathing suit in that bag (or often I wear a bathing suit under my embarkation clothes) since access to your cabin is often hours after you are on board.

A few tips for anyone doing riding excursions from an equestrian:
- Closed toe shoes like tennis shoes or boots. Sandals or flats will fall off.
- Long pants that flex like leggings, breeches, or jeans. (No shorts or you'll suffer bruises/burns from the leather saddle. I've seen it and it's painful. Takes weeks for it to disappear.)
- Close to the body shirt. Loose fitting is tempting but your instructor may have you tuck it in or tie it as loose clothes = spooky horses.
- Keep blingy jewelry, loose jewelry, dangly jewelry and stuff on the boat. You would not believe how many times I've seen a horse spook because of a super sparkly, dangly earring set.
- Bring a set of sporting gloves if you have them. They can help you keep your grip on the reins. Mine are a mix of suede and fabric and are for equestrians.
- Keep your ankles pointed to the ground (toes to the air), legs around the barrel, reins down by the withers, head and eyes looking forward and have a ton of fun! Horses are so much fun.

I took that Bagsmart carry on on my last trip. It’s a great bag. But I had to gate check my Away carry on bag and carry the Bagsmart up 2 flights of steps to board our return flight in Madrid. That Bagsmart bag just holds too much. I’m 76 years old and almost didn’t make it up those steps with that bag. Next trip I am taking my Away everywhere bag or a smallish backpack as my personal item!

Yay! So happy for you! I've been working on my packing techniques, and really have embraced carry-on only. So.much.better. We can never drive to the port, so it's much easier to not check a bag for a plane. We are going to Florida for a 'lifestyle visit' this July, so maybe in the future, we will be able to drive to ports. ;). .

Thanks for the updated packing video. I recently went on a 10 day cruise and applied strategies, tips and tricks that I picked up from you over the years. I packed minimal-ish and packed as if it were a 5-day cruise. It worked out great by taking advantage of the onboard laundry services. Just a little pre-planning to match up the itinerary and expected onboard events really pays off when trying to bring just the right amount. And, I've been using the Baggail packing cubes for about 3 years and they really make the packing and return packing so much easier. Thanks for that product suggestion!
