Not a new idea, this is just an over engineered version of the pneumatic tubes that used to be much more commonplace. You can still find them in use at banks and hospitals. The pneumatic tubes are also less likely to breakdown since there are fewer moving parts that make the system work also making repairs easier when something does break.

It’s an interesting concept for office buildings but like a lot of others I dont think I would like it in my home. I think the only place where this makes sense is for mail hubs in high density areas like NYC.

Ideal for high density areas, but not so much for rural at this point. But it would be ideal to incorporate this into developing the underground fiber optics and other utilities. Let's hope.
