Kendall's talk will consist of her story and mission teaching young girls that they are diamonds; that no matter what they've been through or what obstacles they will face, they have the power within themselves to be the next leaders in engineering, business, politics, math, art, and disrupt the norms of today's society.

Kendall Rankin is a 4th year Industrial Engineering student from Bowie, Maryland. During her time at Tech, she is most proud of starting The Diamond Campaign, a women's empowerment organization that services the community through mentorship and events.

Thank you, I am now aware that I am white and some people aren't. This was a real eye opener for me :)

Wow! Finally I see! This has been the most original and eye opening speeches ever! Just when I started taking my privilege for granted, this mind bending concept has enlightened me. Oh, thank you tedx! I believe hearing, just one more 'at the door' speech, has finally changed my cold, decrepit heart. I finally see the light.

It is a privilege if people around me have the same skin colour than me. So you are saying that people suffer when they have to live in a diverse society.

So, there's a list beside the door? That list has a privilege item?

Lol "she came in second at the slam poetry competition." I hope that girl survived the tsunami of money that washed over her in the aftermath of the competition.
