you should update to 2019.2 it has a precast tap, it might not be very interesting for an architect, but still a very nice tool

If it's for visualisation purposes alone it is phenomenally slow even comparing to sketchup. If you can perform structural analysis and create your own library, then it might be worth the hassle.

In your tutorial plate is projected outer of the wall...
I need to place the plate inside for my current project

While saving the connection as a custom build connection the beam suddenly goes again to the middle of the wall, is too long so to speak. Any idea why? I think it happened in your example as well.
