I have a true respect for Luke Combs. This man is down too earth, kind, & respectful. His songs are a relatable. I have yet to hear one song that I can't relate to in one way or another.
I personally am a recovering cocaine addict, so songs like 1, 2 many and Beer never broke my heart really speak too me. 1, 2 many is obviously pretty self explanatory 1 is too many 1000 is never enough. When I was using I never stopped at 1 line it always had to be more so that song totally speaks too me cause I can't have the friends in my life that call and ask me to come out cause of course I am not the friend to let a friend party alone but I can't turn it off so just don't have them around and stay sober. As for Beer Never Broke My Heart. I was in rehab in September listening to this song. The charge nurse told me in the morning that I was no longer aloud to listing to any music that glorified drinking or drugs and so there for this song was band and I said on the contrary this song does not glorify drinking. He points out all the bad times alchol was there for someone when nothing else was then at the end points out that if the alchol had not been there all them other things would still be there it is just so suttle your missing it. I said I am divorced twice. My kids dont come visit me here in rehab my parents have not come to visit I have 4 brothers and six sisters all of them have kids my Dad has 6 sister 5 of them are married he has One Brother he is Married my Mom has 4 Sisters all Married and 5 Brothers 2 are Married all of them have kids Visiting hours here at the center are Monday to friday 6pm-9pm after our classes and Saturday noon-5pm and sunday noon-9 pm have I ever gotten one visiter yet (at this time I was 18 day into 22days treatment) I said the songs name maybe called beer never broke my heart but it is an allegory to show us that addiction trully is what does brake our hearts we just have to open our eyes enough too see it. So going forth my hope for everyone watching is if you do drink or use drugs do so responsibly cause that is possible and if you cant do so know that seek help and stop so you dont destroy yourswlf your kids yours wifes mothers brothers sosters and all others loveds ones until next time love each other and love yourselves
