Bhagavad Gita made easy - Part 1/3

The Gita is perhaps the flagship scripture of Hinduism. But many Hindus either struggle to understand it or are completely unaware of the main ideas of what Krishna talks about.
In this three part series, anyone of any level of knowledge will be able to go through the main concepts that are raised in the Gita.
This first part covers where the Gita fits within Hindu scripture, and then proceeds through the first six chapters. Arjuna's distress, the nature of the Self, Karma Yoga and how this leads to knowledge of the Self and then finally Krishna's teachings on meditation.

I'm from texas and im gonna pick up a copy of this been trying to find the religion for me and hinduism just feels like a natural fit so many of its ideas resonate with me ive read some literature on Buddhism but I never liked when other westerners add their own interpretations of Scripture. Feels too imposing

Was just telling my 12 year old daughter stories from the Bhagavad Gita and she was like wow, they answer questions Christianity doesn't address. It was a beautiful moment. Even a 12 year old knows. This to me, to this day, is still the best easy to easy-to-understand summary of the Bhagavad Gita. Whenever I need a reminder of who He is in the simplest of words, I always come back to this video.

What sort of percenatage of Hinduse would you say appreciate there religion and truly understand it's mysticism. I'm interest coming from an abrahamic faith and seeing Hindusim as a unique and spiritual religion

I’m not religious nor practice Hinduism but I got intrigued and started to read this book as a self help guidance. Thank you for helping us understand it, it allowed me to find the answers I was looking for.
