Dave Dave was actually just a normal boy. But when he was 6 his father put him on fire, David survived but had lots of scars and things like that. Michael Jackson felt guilty even if he didn’t know him, so Michael decided to pay for surgery so David would be better. They then became close friends.

Basically, at a young age, his dad poured kerosene on him and set him on fire.
Somehow he survived. Michael Jackson payed for his surgery's. He actually became a singer to as mj taught him how (so not MJ trying to live low)
