The upcoming M12 Fuel 3" cutoff tool was a huge surprise at NPS 2018 but it was one of my favorites. Fantastic ergonomics, excellent blade brake, and optional dust collection make this a remodelers dream tool.

Tile & stone installers, electricians, plumbers take note. This will be a fantastic addition to the arsenal.

Dust collection tuck point shroud included. The dust collection in cement board and drywall was excellent in the demonstrations.

One hand, inline design provides exceptional control and line of sight.

3 cutoff wheels included in the kit

20,000 RPMs

Super bright LED light

No-mar Rubber bumper on motor head

Reversible blade direction

On board battery gauge

Available: August 2018

Price: not yet available

I wish this was a demonstration however, I got this to cut tile. Small job but I am impressed. As a mechanic it didn't take me long to realize how useful it is in the shop... very happy with this tool.

To the people crying why not use you 4/½ in angle grinder has no clue what the purpose of this tool is/was made for! Try getting into a tight spot with your big ass grinder, try laying under your car trying to cut something or anything for that matter & last but not least how many times has your cut look like you started & stopped 5 or 6X cause it walked or was to heavy to keep a constant cutting due to the angle & position theres a reason it's called a grinder & this tool is a cut off tool, just look at the blades it comes with!! Hands down a great tool to have.

My favorite tool!
Any chance my boss says, we gotta cut this - I grab it!!
The tile cutter is amazeballs!!!

I even cut foam with it, looking like the cut was made at factory.

FFS don't sell this in the UK. It looks like it was designed by a professional motorcycle thief.

I'm going to have to grab one for my Milwaukee collection...
Would have been perfect the other day when trying to grind a bolt off above my head, I will miss the spark shower though it's always lovely raining sparks into your hair haha, forward and reverse is exactly what every grinder needs tbh

I picked up one of these with a package deal with the m12 fuel hammer drill and 1/4" impact driver kit and an extra 2.5ah battery for $270 at one of the big box hardware stores.

I own and use this tool, works great. Problem is, no one sells the 3" blades so you have to order online.

Make sure you use only XC batteries on this. The CP batteries choke it down when cutting steel. The 6 cell XC batteries let it cut at full power without shutting down. If you get carried away it will still shut down though.

I bought one and love it. Mine doesn't bog at all and if you use a 4.0 or better battery it last surprisingly long while cutting metal. Obviously this isn't made to cut 1/4 inch plate. Its like a glorified dremal tool. But its compact and plenty of juice when used properly.

I’ve had the little M12 hackzall for around five years now and it’s been fantastic what a versatile tool for small spaces etc ... one tip it needs the 4 amp battery at least to power it not the 2 ampere batts.... this little tool I’m not going to bother purchasing due to owning a normal standard battery grinder , I’ve had my Milwaukee tools now for 8 years cold cutter ( metal circular saw ), impact, drill and the hackzall these tools are fantastic bearing mind I use them almost every day at work ( sparky ) throughout this time, I highly recommend they are the best but Mikita are pretty much with them which I also own ... both are great 👍

This I can see as a good tool. I just got the m12 fuel drill and think it's pointless. No weight savings vs my Hitachi, and the handle is too fat. This would be nice tool to keep in my truck though to cut off locks when they lock me in at the state park areas. They lock me in alot, when it rains they put locks on the gates and you're trapped in hundreds of thousands of acres with no way to get out or to get food or water. This is why I started getting cordless tools. Safety in west Texas.

I bought this tool two years ago specifically for cutting clear laminate. The speed isn’t adjustable, so I ended up partly melting the work, due to the higher than necessary rotational speed. Also be aware, like any tool, cutting efficiency and power depends entirely on the type of battery you use.
