KRISPY KREME vs. DUNKIN' DONUTS

Can ya'll believe this was my FIRST TIME ever eating a Dunkin' Donut doughnut?! I had one of their fritter's AGES ago, but I was dying to know how they compared to Krispy Kreme. Soooo, with some encouragement from the kilokrew over on IG, I decided to find out once and for all WHO DOES IT BETTER?! KK or DD?!

The original cake donut from DD is their first donut they ever sold. It’s meant to be “dunked” in the coffee to soak up the flavor of it. That’s why it’s a plain not so sweet donut. 😊

I'm old enough to remember when Dunkin Donuts had glass plates and every store made their own donuts everyday if you ordered a coffee roll or apple fritter they warmed it up and served it with a pad of butter on top.

I grew up with Dunkies (from Boston). They were so much better before they started doing them frozen, but I still love their french crullers and Boston cream.

I grew up in CT and live in MA so it boggles my mind when people have never had Dunkin considering there's basically one on every street corner here!

Krispy Kreme is way better than Dunkin Donuts. We have Dunkin Donuts in every corner here in New York. Their donuts are always stale and dry.

Krispy Kreme is our convenient store vender and we just got a F
Duncan a couple years back.
I can eat either but our two local places that have been around for over 50 years each win hands down easily.
I only get donuts every year or so and I am not wasting it on Duncan or Krispy

I agree about DD specializing in a cake donut. Everything else they have is dry as the desert and hard as cement, LOL

I think KK's cake donut is technically an "old fashioned" donut, the texture is super dense and closer to a buttermilk bar. I love it but I definitely feel like DD and KK offer really different options!

Can't believe I just spent my morning watching a tiny girl eat 2 big boxes of donuts. Krispy Kreme glazed when the hot sign is on is phenomenal. And I'm not a donut fan.
