Crysis 2: DX11 + HD Textures (1080p, HD 6870)

1920x1080 resolution with everything set to Extreme except for shadows and water which were set at Ultra. My machine can't quite run Crysis 2 at Ultra at 1080p and record FRAPS without dropping to ass-FPS. Not sure I notice the difference between DX9 and DX11 to be honest, but it's still a great looking game.

Stupid FRAPS audio sync issues. I can't for the life of me figure out what's causing it. Easy enough to edit out I suppose...

WTf i play this game with a amd a10 5800k and a msi hawk hd 6870 on 1440 x 900 on ultra with only 30 how is that possible? i guess cause my motherboard sucks

I'll tell ya, for me the best settings are Game effects, particles, post processing=ULTRA, then everything else=extreme. Looks Phenomenal. And all I am running is an AMD Phenom 11 x4 3.2Ghz with a 5750. There is some really good DX11 performance increases with those settings :)

i have the same card, but i have frame drop do you think that is because i have just 3 gigs of ram and 2 core processor?

when i enable d x 11 on my screen it automatically goes into 24p, wonder if anybody has the same problem?

I run it on Extreme settings, I can run it on Ultra but sometimes my FPS drop below 30, probably my CPU (Q8400)

he didn't want to have to overpay when it can already max the hardest game to max just fine lol

You don't notice a difference between DX9 and DX11? Take some screenshots or recordings of bricks or some sort of stone and just look at the difference. The tessalation is amazing.

@dregomz do yourself a favor upgrade that athlon the phenom ii x4 965 3.4ghz or phenom ii x6 thuban 2.8ghz. and get 2-4 gigs more of ram. will pay off in the future if you have alot of ram.
