Tera Beginner's guide: Servers

I recently started playing Tera and came across a lot of things that I didn't understand.
I looked up beginner's guides on YouTube and the guides that I found were 1 or 2 years old.
A little outdated in my opinion, so thats why (now that I understand the game more) I have decided to make my own guide.

I think one helpful guide to cover would be crafting. Since I know when I first started originally, I didn't know that crafting your own armor and weapon is often better than the dropped or quest given armor/weapons. Granted, avatar weapons are still better stat wise (usually) than crafted weapons, its still better stat wise for players who want to get better. Also crafting is fun, but can cost heavily, depending on if you have the supplies, the supplies needed, ect.

Thanks for the video man! I've started on the EU servers because I cannot stand having above 50ms while playing, and to be honest, Kilian, one of the servers is fairly well populated and if you find a guild you'll enjoy the game a lot more with a friendly community.

One thing I think it's worth to apoint EU and NA client are different so be careful which client you download you can't swap servers . Also if you are downloading NA client from Europe your download speed wouldn't be maxed out . In my case download speed was slower 2 times then usually ( My download at full is 4.7 Mb/sec and at NA luncher it were around 2.2 Mb/sec ). Btw keep the good work with the guides I am also here new to Tera :)

It might be worth mentioning that items like additional character slot or changers (account services on NA) are not tradeable on EU server (at least wasn't few months ago) while everything from cash-shop on Na tera is tradeable one way or another (-account bound services like account wide mount[that was not available on EU server]) and maybe that EU server is more expensive compared to Na version cash-shop wise [mount price is around that expensive like account mount on Na tera]

FYI on NA you can also buy enmass points and a starter packs digitaly on amazon.

If I joined a PVE server and created a character on that server. can I switch to a different PVE server without losing my progress?

One more question. How long will it usually take to download the game from Enmass via a wireless 150 MB/s connection. and do I have to download the game again from Enmass to get their bonus mount?

It's a wonderful guide and I wish I have seen it before downloading the game. It has been almost a week now since I started downloading and still is (95% at this moment) and I used the Gameforge launcher because I never had any problems with it before as I played Aion and other games. I live in the Middle East by the way; will this affect my game play? thank you

So are all NA ingame pvp servers the same in term of population/quality ? And what are those channel thingies and what do they do when u switch them ?

Nice videos, well done. Me and my gf are gonna try some Terra and I have a question. It is possible to play cross-realm? For example, we play on one ingame server and later find out that some of our friends are on different. Can we group together and do some content?
And now im not sure about if we should play on EU or NA servers :(

I know that in most games you have like 30 bagpack slots and if you want to expand slots you got to pay. Is it case in this game also? Between i'm from Serbia so which server i should play? I rather play NA cause of English language, less lagg and more mounts. But trading or payment would be a problem ( i would have to pay taxes for sending money to NA) When it's about class I would choose Berserker. I don't think other classes would suit my way of playing.
