I suggest a 78 Buick regal with broken air conditioning

I am a teen driver but I can't imagine its a great idea to have all of these laziness features. Drivers need to be in the habit of checking their blind spot, controling their speed by themselves on the highway, and paying attention and not relying on the vehicle to brake for you. All of these features cost a substantial sum of money so when an accident does happen by accident or stupidity, it is much more expensive to repair.

Get an old Buick. They are indestructible and reliable.
Get something older too- relying on safety tech will make new drivers reliant on things like back up cameras and will not learn to be a good driver.

Ignore these recommendations. Pick the heaviest car with the best crash test results. At present, the cheapest is a Volvo XC90 since 2004, which can be had for $4000+. New choices (pricey) would be a very recent Ford Explorer, Aviator, BMW X5, Mercedes GLE or Rivian R1S.
