My wife built us a big house in Bohol. I added solar power to it for about $8, 500 So I have no rent, no utilities, no nothing. Well, $5 a month for water. Maybe $3 a month for cell phone plan. $45 for Starlink internet, and $200 for food. $30 for motorcycle gas. Property tax is about $30 per year. So I get $2, 400 social security each month, and my bills are less than $400 :) I'm here on a Balikbayan stamp, so no VISA fees either.

I spend around 1400-1500$ working and living here in Bangkok.
Very comfy singlelife in a 1 bedroom condo with pool and gym. Take skytrain to work and sometimes my old Honda cub.

Missing absolute nothing in life and eating out almost 7 days a week.

And as a bonus I got a pretty high swedish salary with paid mandatory 4 week holidays and paid sick days.

That is a good budget for a single guy living in the Philippines. Where things go off the rails for most guys is when they have a girlfriend or they get married. Depending on the family dynamics of your girlfriend/wife, your monthly budget may double. In addition, there are always financial emergencies that your girlfriend/wife's family will expect you to pay.

I'm currently living on $3000 usd makati.. That's changing this month.. moving to Cebu. All places want 1 year lease. I was comfortable in Makati since I knew it from past, but what a big $$$ mistake.

Hi there. Interesting accent, to me it doesn’t sound Canadian, I was thinking maybe Irish 🤷‍♀️

I do Remitly in a pinch for large transactions, but I have my social security check sent to a USA credit union with no international fees. It costs me P250 per 20K ATM transaction is all. And the exchange rate is way better than Remitly or Western Union.

Ya Tony your big fatty legs are showing, , you better add a few more carbs and less vegetables. haha. I like that you converted a $1, 200 a month savings account into a complete life style in the Philippines, all good information thanks

450 PHP a day just for food? It should be 63 PHP per day only or 21 PHP per meal. Ask Neda about it. Just kidding, keep safe bro and enjoy your stay.

Hey Tony, i accidentally ran into your videos 😂

Im in cebu next to the mall. We do live in the fancy condos and our total budget is about $1700 a month which includes 2 trips a month to other islands and wandering around.

Yes the parking is 5000 php at the condo. We will eventually find a nice townhome but for now its nice living in a condo that has everything we need.

To everyone else, our budget could be a lot lower but we eat out almost daily and our meals are around 300 php with exceptions on weekends

You could do a video on the remitly and "just picking it up". There's none I can find that explain that. Every one makes it sound like you walk in and they just hand you money and you walk out. Even the 'remitly help' is no help. Do you give them a reference number? Do you need two forms of ID? Do you show them the app? How much can you get? Do you have to pre-arrange for larger amounts to be ready at a specific location?... Dig your vids, keep up the good work.
