David Dunlop Studio Workshop 3
You can also see:
In this third Studio Workshop, Emmy award winning artist and teacher David Dunlop uses a glazing technique in oil to create greater depth and mystery to a forest scene.

He begins the painting demonstration with an earlier painting of a forest scene that is already dry. He adds a darker glaze to the entire painting, enhances its composition, and finds a new, more dramatic and mysterious painting through layers of glaze.

I think you might be the funniest person I have ever listened to. I can see other people were not impressed by your commentary but I seemed to find every other thing you said really hilarious. And to top it off you were inspiring with the glazing too. thanks!

'It must be water... cause rocks don't shake like that!' That sums it up, you make a illusion look so real yet mysterious powerful, that's why it really inspires! wonderful.

Such a brilliant artist, and such a brilliant mind, jumping from ancient Egypt, to renaissance, to psychology, to biology, thesism, to paper towels and men in black all whilst creating a master piece. Absolutely engaging and absorbing. Peace be upon you sir.

WONDERFUL David Dunlop YouTube presentation about GLAZING, PAINTING DOUBT, and DIFFERENT PAINTING TECHNIQUES used in painting a forest scene. EXTREMELY INTERESTING & USEFUL in my own work. I highly recommend this informative principled workshop for all landscape painters.

I love how you approach a painting. You are not "full" of yourself. You give the audience the chance to grow with you as the painting develops. You have so much knowledge and seem very approachable. This makes you an amazing teacher. Thank you for sharing your sense of style and love of light with us. Thank you for painting.

I love. What you said about improvising - that is to honour the life in every Living now - you let it happen and you surprize yourself - so beautifull
