Hello potters. today we are doing part three of a very special series of episodes or I get my leftover glaze materials and see if they would make a good mystery glaze. I don't get to do this very often as I pride myself on not making a lot of glaze waste of. fortunately my experiments produce a lot of leftover materials that I recycle into things like this.
I have no idea how this glaze is going to turn out, I don't know any of the chemistry, but I do know we're going to find out.

you save your glaze like this?

Sometimes the ones that don’t turn out like you thought are prettier. That’s art!☺️

Gorgeous work. And that black clay body is everything.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I like this random color. So based on your Ceramic Con video I'm going to start making my own glazes, you finally shamed me into it! What size is the Talisman sieve you use? 40, 60, 80 mesh... Thanks Donte

Reminds me a bunch of Amaco's Iron Lustre. The label art sells a bit of blue in volume, but all i got was brown (except where it welled inside some bowls. I'd be curious to see what an oatmeal would do to this mystery glaze of yours though.

I was expecting the Charcoal clay to be darker based on the first graphic, but it looks very different. It’s more cocoa colored than I thought it would be. Is that typical or is it to do with the firing temperature? I’m very curious. I love the look of dark clay bodies, but I haven’t found anything yet that is worth having two different clays in my studio, especially when the one I currently use is such a snowy white porcelain. I would love to see a video tutorial on working with the Charcoal, more info on what to expect from it and how to avoid any problems with it. I loved the honey amber glaze. It’s too bad that there’s no way to know what is in these mystery glazes or how to replicate them, but also it’s a cool way to use up the odd leftovers.

I honestly love brown colored glazes- but I definitely get what you mean about unexpected brown glazes heh, a very beautiful honey glaze : )

Re: the blue inside the mug, probably had a bit of rutile/titanium dioxide in one or more of the glazes.

looks a bit like Amaco Iron Celadon, but a little more 'candy-like'.

Great content, but your video needs some color correction. The actual color of the tile is very hard to see.

The color matches the counter too well so it's melting in.
