"Big Thank You Don!" for the words of encouragement.! Rejection helps build "character" LOL!!

1. Got it- ALWAYS reapply. What is it going to hurt?
2. Hiring company-potential internal issues- hiring disconnects
3. Find 10 opportunities that fit you.
Boil down to 2 ideal positions / daily. Tailor resume to each position.
Volume response with same resume without tailoring sets job seeker up for Rejection.

Thank you again, Don. Keep them coming !

As a Spring 2020 graduate, this video has giving me hope. After applying to hundreds of jobs it seems like I have let this bring my self esteem and confidence down. But after looking at this experience in a different way, I realize I cannot give up- just need to try another strategy!

Really needed to hear this. Tomorrow I planned on going into the business that just passed on me, to pick up some stuff and I'm gonna see if maybe they'll reconsider me as a potential employee. Wish me luck!

I'm at the "What's the point? Nobody's interested" stage. But I'm being made redundant soon so I don't feel like I have a choice. Four months ago when I had more time I felt a lot better applying and was more confident but now when I need it the most, I'm totally demoralised.

Although I didn't secure the job during my first interview with the corporate, the experience served as a valuable lesson that motivated and inspired me to better prepare myself for the second interview. Reflecting on my initial performance allowed me to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to address them. Through diligent research and practice, I gained a deeper understanding of the company, its values, and the role I was applying for. This enhanced preparation not only boosted my confidence but also enabled me to effectively articulate my skills and qualifications during the second interview. The initial setback transformed into a catalyst for personal growth, ultimately empowering me to seize the opportunity with determination and readiness.

This video made me realise that I'm really overthinking things. There's a company that I've applied at twice for an internship. Rejected both times because they didn't have a suitable internship project. Felt awkward doing it the second time, since they already got my application once. Would feel more awkward applying a third time, which would be for a real job. I'm overthinking it. I'm not going to lose face just by applying a third time when they haven't even met me. I'm not even uninteresting to them. I will apply once I've graduated. That's all that's needed. Just do it. The world is just that simple sometimes.

True, I applied for a position at the company for 3 years! Then, I finally got my foot in the company. It was very hard, when I spoke to their hiring manager they shared with me that the internal dept had a person internally set up for the role, but the hiring manager was required by the HR dept / policy procedures that the manage ris required to interview 3-5 people outside of the organization. I went thru 3-4 months.

Thank you for your videos, they've been helpful to me in this difficult time of trying to find gainful full-time employment. Here's my story: I worked just shy of 20 years in luxury home goods sales here in NYC, including furniture. Recently, March 17, 2022 to be exact I interviewed for an "assistant to a salesperson" at a great furniture company. When I interviewed I asked towards the possibility of transitioning into sales. The answer I received was "The turnover for salespeople is very low and in fact, a salesperson who left, wants to come back." I let that go and followed up with an email saying "I'd be more than happy to be an assistant because that way I'll learn this particular business from the ground up." I received a response thanking me for my email and that they're "still looking and they've not made a decision." That actually gave me hope. Then I noticed recently that as of April 4, this aforementioned company is posting an available position in, you guessed, SALES! The question I have for you is, should I apply for that though it's not the position I tried for previously yet expressed interest in? I feel it's a grey area.

some of the companies don't even allow to reapply for the same position...

I personally would never reapply to the same job. It just gives the company the satisfaction to let you know that you're not good enough, rarely giving you the reasons why.

I was a finalist for a job that I didn’t get. The job re-opened at the same company a year later. I figured they had my resume already and would reach out if they were interested.

I wish I had watched this video back then, but this will never happen to me again.

I’ve also seen jobs I turned down for another job, in a difficult decision, reopen years later, but I felt embarrassed to apply after rejecting them years earlier.

I totally agree. I am going to make my resume looks better and re-apply again, nothing to lose.
