277, 000 miles here and still going strong. It’s a street legal go kart pretty much, I can throw it in the corners with no brakes and it stops on a dime cuz it weighs like 50lbs😭😭

if you're buying a used fiesta and you drive fast and you bought from somewhere like a rental place or previous owner a old lady I almost guarantee you'll be replacing the throttle within the first year. I bought my car 63k miles previous owner was old lady it was very well taken care of but was never driven past 80 most likely 😂 had to replace my throttle in the first 6/mo other then that no problems. I went thru Ford and paid 600$ and now that I know how easy it is to replace I'm crying 😂😂😂😂 thank you!

My 2011 I bought new never had one issue with it. Still driving strong only replaced the oil and air filter. Front brakes once and shocks. That’s it. Been a great car.

Also don't forget about the PowerShift transmission if you go for the automatic version of any ford car from this gen. My mum's stopped working at like 50'000 km. There's also a class action against ford in the US and Australia regarding this.

As a fiesta 2013 owner, the only issues I had were:
-Once the engine fan blew and had to replace it, it was kinda expensive
-after 9 years of having the car, both left door window switches failed and had to replace them. However its not that expensive

If anybody considering buying one used get the manual. 2011 here 117k miles 100% reliable. The original front rotors passed inspection every year until I change them recently. Even the headlights are original.

I have the 5 speed--super fun to drive and I get ~35MPG in town.
The water pump did go out.... but the good news is the one they replaced it with exploded so I got a free warranty-paid-for rebuild on my engine for the price of a water pump replacement.
Thanks for helping me catch my lower control arm issue before it got any worse.

My fiesta had the biggest problem with water leaking into boot compartment trough some unvisible holes. I put silicone every where and changed gaskets under stoplights. Another problem coolant leakage from heatwater housing

The purge valve is common I replaced mine 2 years ago and just went out again code P1450. Used to work at Ford dealership and it was very common.

We own two manual gearbox fiesta circa 2017/18 1L ecoboost models. Both have needed gearbox bearings around 50-60, 000 miles.

I had a Ford FESTIVA. Got 200K miles out of it. Change the oil every 3K. Best car I ever had. Ran it into the ground.

Ford escape owner. Big fan of ford now. Hardly any problems. Between this fiesta and the Toyota matrix. This gets more mpg but obviously you get more storage with vibe

What is the lurching from a stop and accelerate. I had the tranny recall done. Still hesitates.
