I actually have a female orange tabby! I found her as a kitten in my work parking lot. I had no clue she was rare.

Just had to put mine down. RIP my sweet Zeppelin, you will never, ever be forgotten. For those of you that don't know, if your male cat is spending a longer time than normal in the litter box; get him to a vet immediately. Kidney stones will claim their life in a manner of just a couple days if you're not paying attention. I love you buddy, I think about you every day, and you will always be one of my best friends.

I always thought the fact that fur colors affected cats personalities was an urban legend.

then i adopted my orange cat. she is the most friendly and affectionate cat ive ever had, follows me everywhere, while also being a huge idiot who constantly gets into things and causes trouble. she tries to befriend every human and cat she sees. basically, she fits the stereotype completely. shes pretty special too, being a pure orange female.

Meanwhile, my gray-brown and white tabby is shy but really sweet and chill lol.

I rescued a 5-week old orange tabby, with his brothers and sisters a few weeks ago. The others hissed and fussed a little, but he never did. When I picked him up, he immediately snuggled into my chest.

Vikings preferred orange tabbies to all other cats for shipboard work. All of them were great companion animals, super fun during the boredom of long and isolating voyages. The least lazy ones might even hunt rats too. If an orange tabby hunted out the whole ship and kept the crew laughing then they were a prized crew member.
