I got my orange boy because my Siamese needed a friend. He was lonely and bored. So we went to the shelter and asked “which one is super playful and won’t mind being randomly tackled?” They showed us Prince and told us he had been returned twice for his quirks. We just celebrated 2 years with him. He and my Siamese are best friends and the vet techs at my vet LOVE him.

My orange cat taught me how to walk as a baby. He'd stand next to me and hold his tail straight up for me to hold while I walked. He'd stay under my stroller and hiss at any stranger approaching. He also followed my mom and I to the daycare ( 3 blocks away) and stay there no matter the weather until my mom came back to bring me home. He was very smart and he lived to be 18 years old. Best cat ever.

My mother felt terrible when I would joke about how stupid our orange boy was. Wow was I wrong as could be. He learned to tell time and would escort my dad home from the train station. 4 windy, hilly blocks each way. He knew when to leave the house, and would pick my father out of the crowd of commuters, to safely escort him home. He would play all sorts of games with my dad, and his paws were fast as lightning. 19 wonderful years. He was many things, but no threat of being dumb.

My parents have an orange cat that's now 22 years old.All his life he's been calm, friendly and intelligent. He's never destroyed anything or gone super wild, he listens and obeys when you tell him to stop if he's doing something he's not supposed to. The last ten years he's been able to walk around the garden himself, and he stays close. Sometimes other cats shows up, and he's always friendly to them and not at all territorial. He's even made friends with some. When I think about it... he's a very odd cat. Nice, but odd.

My orange cat is literally Garfield. He's not stupid, just extremely lazy. But because he's so incredibly food motivated, we were able to teach him a few tricks.

I grew up on a farm, so I've known quite a few orange cats. Most were just the friendliest little guys, but the one that made the most impact was our 3rd indoor cat Pickles.

That cat had Personality, whether it was his boisterous singing voice, slamming my parents door open in the morning when he wanted food, or his constant digging and chasing his tail. Loved that man and I'll never forget him. RIP Pickus ❤

My family has 2 orange cats that are brothers from the same litter. They are the most loving, caring and loyal cats ever. Their dad is is also orange and absolutely loves my husband, my husband is his human. We are very blessed to have 3 orange cats that are the most amazing cats ever. All three orange cats are our fur children.

What a weird stereotype! We have two orange boys, and one is literally brilliant--when my daughter leaves the house he brings her stuffed animals to his food/water bowls and angles them in head-first so they can "eat". The other is the best vocal communicator I've ever met in a cat. He'll greet me when I come home, jump up to whatever surface brings him closest to my face, and begin long conversations, adjusting the pitch of his meows and chirps to my voice as I respond. So I've always thought of them as "smart cats." I had no idea there was this popular perception of them as clumsy and inept...

The Jorts and Jean thing is partly a phenomenon because it's about critters with different personalities and needs helping each other and being friends. They are working cats, acting like mascots and helping visitors and employees relax. Where Jean rescues Jorts from closets and trash cans, Jorts rescues Jean from big meetings and loud noises. And there's no judgment in that symbiotic relationship. It's so WHOLESOME.

I have a female cream orange tabby who just has the most cattitude I've ever seen. Knocking things over, immediately climbing into any open kitchen cabinet, jumping in the bathtub after I've showered only to panic when its a bit wet, trying to chew electrical cords, trying to drink out of our water glasses when her own water dish is RIGHT THERE... keeping her safe is hard, but keeping her entertained is hella easy. And she's super loving! She watches us come and go out the window and greets us at the door like a dog!

I've never heard this meme before lol. My beautiful ginger girl Dot was so intelligent and highly self aware that she's ruined my average perception of cats lol. I miss her so much, she passed away in January this year and I'm still grieving. Honestly one in a million and 18 years together wasn't long enough, she will forever be in my heart. <3

I cohabited with an orange dude for many years and I miss him a lot. He was courageous and made friends easily, but was also the smartest cat I’ve ever encountered. He had the power of analyzing a situation, acting effectively, and even communicating to make sure I understood what he was getting at. He also had some of the most uproarious workout sessions with a rubber band.

Don't forget Jorts is also a union cat! He may not know how doors work, but he understands workers' rights :)
My upstairs neighbor has an orange lad who is TINY, and whenever I go up to visit, he LAUNCHES himself into my arms. Definitely very friendly!

My orange cat lived for 19yrs and 10months, he was the most laid-back, friendly, intelligent buddy I could have ever hoped to have. And I got to live with him for 20 years! I miss you, Biscuit, you were a real one.

Loved this hilarious video, Jackson! I'm surprised you hadn't heard about orange tabby stereotypes, though -- vets literally call them "mellow yellows" because they tend to be so laid-back and social. (I still miss my sweet orange boy Sam, now gone almost 20 years and I still miss him so much.)

Perfect sentiment at the end there!

The best cats- no, the best pets, are the ones who pick you.

My orange boy of 19 years was my best friend and partner in crime! Very self aware and proud, very loving and demanding, very loyal and true! Fought for his right to enjoy and rule life until the very end! Miss you forever, Sunshine! P.S. just adopted a rescue orange kitten and he is the silliest, goofiest, friendliest, most loving creature! Orange tabbies rule!

Hi Jackson! My orange tabby, Tiger, I adopted him from our local animal shelter a day before he was going to be Put to sleep. He was a neighbor cat that came over and hung out. Another neighbor took him to the shelter and I wondered where he was. There he was on the shelters web site in the feral section. I went down there and found out wht happened and adopted him. I let the original owners know and that was fine with them. He was about four years old and had not been neutered. He was kind of a friendly tough guy. I had him for 11 years now. What a wonderful, funny loving cat. Special cat. Marion

I've had my little orange boy for a few months now and he is 50% snuggly sleepyhead and 50% crazy, running across the house then running back and fighting your hand to the death XD
And I love him so much
