I had to be tested because my mom had pregnancy trouble, so they tested the liquid around me a little while before i was born, and they found out I have something called a ‘balanced translocation’ which means part of one chromosome broke of and switched places with another and vice versa. This can happen on any combo of two chromosomes. Mine was on the set of 10 and 7. So was my dad’s. It was rare to have during that time, and, despite me having trouble having kids due to the likeliness of miscarriage being increased, it makes me feel somewhat happy because I feel unique.

This is exactly why I won't send my DNA in to a company like Ancestry even though I am very curious. You just don't know what they may do with your DNA, even if it's long after your death.

Also let's not forget that *over 50%* of US adults have their SSN, Name, and DOB compromised mostly due to the credit bureau's leak. Do you really think this couldn't happen to a DNA company?

Hey blocko... I have a psycho crazy question, when the original galaxies and matter was created, it is said that we can predict how much matter was created and what type of matter what elements? So on a smaller scale... What elements make up the entire Earth, I'm mostly interested in nitrogen phosphorus and potassium considering the fact that plants require them, and how much NPK is there left on Earth? How long would it take for us to exhaust the entire Supply? We're talking the second Horseman of the apocolypse here.. famine! I understand it shouldn't be a big issue but population is steadily increasing and they say by 2050 we should have 10 billion people on Earth which means consumption will increase also.... Intriguing question no?

Makes me think of the book 'The Barcode Tattoo' which was about a government that controlled people based off their health risks and traits.
I did a DNA test a while back to find out more about where my dad was from, kinda creepy to think about it now after seeing this!
