Minato died to young way before his prime and I do believe we never seen his best.

He can teleport each member of six paths to different locations just like he teleported nine tail’s attack and then deal with then individually.
Edit -
1) Since people think animal path can summon all pain bodies, Even if Animal path summons back everyone, Minato now knows who to take out first from the group and once animal path is down, rest will fall like dominos.
2) There is a distance limit where Nagato can control pain bodies so Minato and can just teleport each of them to different corners of the world making them lose connection with Nagato and making them useless. And since animal path is down, they cant be summoned together with each other.
3) Lets say they still keep their connection with nagato even after getting teleported in different countries. Their strength lies in sharing the vision, but imagine one pain body in leaf village, one pain body in rain village, one pain body in sand village etc. They cant regroup in an instant because animal path is destroyed. Each pain body would literally have to travel from one village to another or from one country to another, They simply cannot travel such large distances faster than Minato's flying ryjin.
4) Sharing the vision is useful when one or two pain bodies are getting attacked, Here other pain bodies can share their vision from different angles and help the one which is getting attacked but if all of them are getting attacked individually in a different geographical location without any way of regrouping then they are done. Sharing the vision is of no use when each body is fighting 1v1 against minato or his clones in a different village/country.

Minato died at the age of twenty-four. There is no way we saw him at the peak of his potential.
Had Minato lived another 10-15 years, imagine the absolute storm he'd have become as a shinobi. He was already among the best in history; he'd have been unstoppable if he'd had the time to study and train further.

It's hard to compare naruto characters because of the massive power creep that happens later on in the show after Pain's death.

Minato is the perfect shinobi... ridiculously fast, very intelligent, seems to have no temper issues (he is always calm/focused in battle), amazingg hokage (risked his life for the leaf village), jutsu inventor, godlike accolades with really no advanced bloodline, and GOD TIER dad/family man, and beautiful hair 😏... WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE i wish he had more screen time 😭

He learned Obitos ability in like, 2 minutes . I think he'd figure out the paths abilities fairly quickly

Minato prepare his Rasengan.. throw kunai to Pain.. Pain use shinra tensei to deflect the kunai.. Minato teleport to kunai.. Pain "WTF?! I need 5 seconds to cooldown my technique" Minato smash Pain with Rasengan.. the end.

Minato is one of the smartest ninjas in Naruto along with Itachi and Tobirama. It took him a few minutes to figure out Obitos ability, compare it to how long did it take Kakashi, Naruto, Shikamaru.
I think Minato would beat Pain.
