Thanks; I watched a few of these and I didn't find anyone that explained the entrance, exit, combo as well as you have. I totally get it now. One way I was designing my tracks that worked, was like tracks in real life, where you have one long line with a couple places for trains to pass each other so you can have more than one train on the same track, going in opposite directions. I feel that if the cost of building the tracks and maintaining them were more realistic, people would probably not be so liberal in how many they built. But I digress.

I know this might be a little late, but ctrl+alt+c turns on the cheat menu, which can give you infinite money. Useful for these kinds of awesome videos! This was really insightful, thanks a lot :)

I got this. I think what people didn't understand is the path having to be clear between the first signal and second signal. Reinforcing that point is crucial.

How do you make signals appear on only one side of the track? I put my signals and the game always put two signals in the same square, one for each direction.

2021: only reason not to use path based signals is cpu usage, TTDLX on Ryzen 5950x, turns off video
