Human hair wigs can be very unethical. There are a couple of brands that fairly compensate the women who's hair it was but more often than not the women are from impoverished countries being paid a miniscule amount that they accept just so they can feed their families. Because the demand for human hair has grown so much there have been gangs in places like India who will attack women in the street and cut off their hair so they can sell it to wig companies. I'm not trying to shame people for wanting wigs and extensions but asking people to consider if those really cheap wigs on sites like Ali Express are ethical or are causing harm to women. There are some amazing synthetic hair companies on the market now that look real, you wouldn't know the difference.

As another young trans woman, I appreciate you so very much. I wish the rest of us were as forgiving and patient, I am absolutely disgusted by some of the behavior in the trans community. That being said, thank you for covering comparing ourselves to others, I struggled a lot with that this year and have finally come out of it somewhat.
