I’m sure they are wonderful, but if you think I’m paying $3000 for irons, it’s not going to happen. I don’t care if they serve you breakfast.

So many people screaming about $3, 000. Its purely to elicit a response. There's no way: 1) normal punters get their hands on 1 out of 500, and 2) Cobra make any money off this initial concept piece. The total revenue is $1.5m. Thats a pittance in this day and age. Given the cost of printers, time it takes to print each iron head, materials, labour, etc etc I doubt that is going to take even a dent out of what they've spent so far on this tech. People need to chill saying this is a sign of crazy club costs. Its clearly not meant for mass market, its a brilliant piece of marketing and a toy for people who want to be early adopters and pay for that privilege. Hop up and down about Driver costs for sure, but not these.

Third shot at 04:00 sounded sweet as anything. First thoughts are how can Cobra produce a dense material and what are manufacturing costs. Just thought of another question - what's the loft on that 7 iron?

I think a lot of people in the comments are forgetting that this is a limited product and only 500 of them are made and will be sold of course they’re going to jack the price up.. its a limited edition item.. i’m sure they are already manufacturing clubs similar to this for the masses for a lower cost. Cobra clubs have always been a little bit cheaper than every other manufacturer out there on the market so I’m interested to see the price for the consumer for a full set That’s not limited.

What I hope evolves someday is the ability to design your own club based on shape/size and have them printed out for you. That would be amazing and I hope these are a step towards that.

18 seconds in and paused. James was seriously hoping you would get these to review! You do an amazing job with all of these and have become my go to channel for all things golf!

At that price those clubs better make my breakfast every morning! I can't afford anything remotely close to that. Also, I reshafted my Ping Zing 2 irons not too long ago and went to a senior firm flex (but not an R flex, maybe an R minus) and it has really helped my game a ton.

I really look the look of those for sure. If Cobra is making them, others will follow and competition will drive cost down over time. I'm looking for a new set of irons with regular shafts. I'm hoping I can remain patient and wait for prices to drop? Haha.

I’m guessing you’ll be reviewing the vice irons wedges and putters soon? Was getting my mom more golf balls saw they sell irons now and look amazing.

What about dirt etc getting inside the head. The back lattice structure looks open to the elements.

Think 3d printing will be the norm but right now just way too expensive

I worked for the DOD in a model shop in the ‘90s and we were 3D printing prototype mechanical pieces for R&D then. It wasn’t steel printing, but it amazes me it has taken this long for this type of technology to be utilized in production. This should get cheaper once it is accepted by industry as profitable.

Unfortunately, i think that most of the limited edition sets will never be played with, instead, put on display.
3D is the future, just not right now, unless they make them more affordable to Joe public.
They are a very good-looking iron though.

Also, Cobra usually has pretty strong lofts in their clubs. What loft is that 7 iron?

People seem to be forgetting economy of scales... Only 500 made... If/ when these become mass produced, the price will come right down to meet market expectations.

Strongest looking 7 iron I’ve ever seen, sure that isn’t a 6 iron?
