Smartest man alive not only told Wanda Black Bolt's powers, but also decided the best way to attack Wanda was stand right in front of her and slowly attempt to grab her.

"...and the smartest man alive Reed Richards, of the Fantastic Four."
Dwight: That's debatable...

That universe’s Dr Doom is most definitely Dwight

Everyone talks about how dumb it was for him to attack her head on, but can we also talk about how Captain Marvel and Carter just watched him get murdered slowly and painfully when Captain Marvel definitely had the speed to help him

“Why is Jim treating the magician so poorly”

“I have children of my own” that’s the ace card. Franklin Richards exists in the MCEU.

Everyone’s dissing Reed (rightfully so) but can we acknowledge the fact that the other 2 did nothing but watch their teammate die

First a villain as golden face in threat level midnight, now playing a hero in doctor strange

An actor that many of us could, the terrible outcome that they gave him can be fixed with a good script, but having chosen John Krasinski is already a big step, I hope he stays in the role.

No matter what people say, I still remember the shock when he showed up on screen opening night. We knew Professor X was coming, but I don’t think any of us expected a Mr. Fantastic portrayal this early.

I'm going to be honest; I didn't even know Reed Richards could die until I saw this film.

"Reed Richards, the smartest man alive."

Makes me wonder who killed Doctor Doom in this universe.

John Krazinski was a great version of HIS Reed Richards, one who has gone through 5 movies worth of story arcs that made him warmer and more understanding than he is typically portrayed. However, I wouldn’t be mad if the main MCU timeline had a Reed that was more accurate to his core personality: he has the biggest brain in the universe, and he knows it because he also has the biggest ego. He is very much a Spock type character, someone who puts logic before emotions, and Krazinski played the exact opposite of that. Instead of trying to defeat Wanda to reduce the amount of damage she is likely to do, Krazinski instead chose to appeal to her emotions and relatability as a parent as a means of subduing Wanda. This isn’t something that a fresh Reed Richards would do, and while I have some faith in Krazinski, I’m unsure if he could pull off cold & narcissistic super well bc I’ve never seen him play a role like that. I’d be fine either way!

I’m sad that we won’t see John Krasinski as Reed Richards in the MCU :(

If this was MCU 616 Reed Richards then OBVIOUSLY his fate here would be infuriating. But given this was always gonna be a one off variant just to tease the future, I was okay with his appearance being short lived and being killed. Our main Reed will most definitely be leagues better

I can’t take him seriously in this role I just keep seeing him as the villain in Michael Scarn

People who poke fun at how the smartest man alive revealed Black Bolt's powers really piss me off and it shows how clueless they are about Marvel in general.
1)They were fighting a woman piloting an innocent woman's body.
2) They could only possibly know of Wanda on their Earth and did not believe Strange when he says she can change reality at will. They have implicit instructions from Strange of their Earth to not trust any other Strange as they believe him to be the greatest threat to the multiverse.
3) They are heroes. Imagine if the heroes in the other movies did the same and just killed on sight. Like Batman in BvS who says he does not kill but later 3D prints someone's face on a wooden box. It's heroic to risk it to save even one life.
4) One of Reed's biggest character flaws from the comics is being cocky. He is prone to making "dumber" decisions based on the idea that it would be impossible for him to fail. It's very in-character.
Possibly, he was trying to resolve things in a peaceful manner. This can be shown when he tries to empathise with Wanda by mentioning his own children. He knew exactly what her struggle was and tried his best to connect with it. In a way, this reveals his intelligence since he tried to find solutions beyond the obvious violent one.
