Water wading is the biggest limitation. I lost two main fan fuses after crossing water. The fan blades suddendly stopped, causing a short circuit and blowing the fuses.

I live in Europe and I own an old 2008 manual Outback. Unfortunately here we don’t get the 2.4 turbo engine but only the slow 2.5 natural aspirated…

Subaru make great vehicles but their cupholders suck out loud not big enough to hold a water bottle. What kind of idiot did that?

I respect that subies are super reliable and have a very particular purpose in the market. They have a great spot with being all weather capable on road and can get you to the trail head. Issue i have is the marketing suggests that they can be true offroad vehicles and compete with the likes of the tacos and jeeps, they cant and it just seems dishonest to me. I cant tell you how many stuck on the beaches, on non maintained overlanding trails, etc that get stuck easy. So much so that we just dont allow them in my offroad groups anymore
