No Tsurasi it really wasn't what you said, it was how you said it, just like this condescending statement.

I think she is the one that is really sensitive .

She was condescending. She was a hater. She hated that Iowa beat U Conn. She hates the attention given to CC.

I’s sorry but I think she was throwing shade. WNBA is finally getting some recognition it deserves and she looks a little jealous. Let’s keep it 💯. Women’s basketball reached a new level last couple of years and everyone in the league needs to support each other. Im 40 and for the first time ever my coworker asked if I watched the Women’s college championship.

Being condescending to the "new fans" that you're hoping to bring in and retain is a pretty outrageous business decision.

The eyeroll tells you everything you need to know. She's toxic. Please retire soon...let the young girls have it.

New fans…Clark had more fans than damn near the whole WNBA. Trivia question, when does the WNBA season start this year and when did it start last year? Shit who won the chip and who was the mvp last year?

The WNBA need those "NEW" fans! It's called growing the sport! Dissing them is not a good idea!

21 points in her preseason debut is a hell of a learning curve 👍

Tried her whole life to get new fans to get dying league. Couldn’t do it. Clark brings in hundreds of thousands of new fans. She immediately insults them. Damn she’s likable.

No Diana, it was the way you said that. We all saw. Take it and deal with the consequences of your word. Backpedling like a coward doesn't look good.

It is very short sighted of Taurasi and Bird not to welcome Clark with open arms. Already teams are rescheduling their games against the Fever due to the added expected attendance for Clark! Clark is helping usher in new interest and money in a league that can't support itself. Taurasi and Bird come off as bitter and jealous and would rather cast doubt than support someone who in turn might help the league. You don't have to love or even like Clark, but if you have a ounce of intelligence you need to support every new player in hope that they will help elevate your sport, rather than worry about your own place in that sport. Its their kind of attitude that may explain why people don't support the WNBA!I

Touching your face, ears, etc. Is a sign of panic and nervousness. Knows she messed up.

People are so critical. Legit... she's just saying she's gonna need to learn how to play in the wnba. That's it. Lol

Caitlyn Clark had 10 TO’s. She was being transparent & wise. She supports her but she’s also providing an experienced input as everyone in any sport, any draft number had to adjust when becoming a pro!! It’s night & day turning pro. She was right

She meant it as a knock. Now she’s walking it back. Only an idiot could take it any other way.

How one selects “facts” to mention at a specific time as to a specific person says more than just the “facts” spouted.

She’s the sensitive one. The irony.

High-school teams can beat them. That’s a fact. Don’t be mad. I just stated a fact. How could that be bad. lol.

What DT said was intelligent, great and true. Everyone thought she could go rah, rah, rah about Clark. But she said the best thing that could have possibly been sent.

She's a champion and the all time leading scorer in the wnba. She earned the right to say whatever she said!
