I’m quite surprised you didn’t mention the f10 m5? I know that’s not so much of a sports car and more of a sports sedan, but surely with all the tech it has it should be considered?!

Also congrats on the 100k! You’re smashing it bro!

For having others in the car with me - the Bentley.
For pulling up at work - the R8
For the - Tuscan
For best drive - the Jag

But Overall, easy choice based on cost: the Lotus.

Even though it’s got nothing inside and looks the cheapest, as well as being slow over 60, it’s the only one on the list that people will always want to buy off you and it’s the most likely to APPRECIATE.

Great video🏝

All are gems. I could buy one of these, but I guess maintenance could be scary at times. So I'll just admire them from afar ☺.

I adore the F-Type and I'd have one out of any car under £100k. Can't believe it makes this list, a future classic for sure!😍😍

For the price of maintaining these cars, you may as well but a supercar. Other alternatives would be a 2zz MR2 Spyder, which has the right looks and performance matching the Elise, but much less expensive to purchase and maintain; or the 2003 or later Merc CLK 55 AMG, also very affordable and reliable.

If you buy a 30K TVR make sure you have 30K saved up to keep it going

I remember the TVR Tuscan S as the cheapest car that will do (nearly) 200MPH but it's made of plastic, has limited safety features, you can't simply lift the bonnet, the controls are from a spaceship ...and it looks like a willy.

Now that I'm a bit older and have some cash behind me I have the odd problem of not wanting to spend cash on an expensive car when I can get 99% of the fun out of one for 25% of the cost. I'd love an R8 but I feel like I'd enjoy a TTS just as much ... the novelty of having to dislocate my hip getting in and out of an R8 at Tesco would wear out faster than the clutch I reckon, and that's saying something.

Good video mate! Can’t believe you can buy an Aston Martin for the price of a new Golf GTI! And taking into account depreciation on brand new cars, many of the cars you’ve listed probably work out cheaper than mentioned GTI even over a 5 year period or so.

I’d have the 997 though. Any day. My personal dream car and hoping to buy one within the next years. May I just ask where you got the 5% figure for bore scoring from? Going through the classifieds on Autotrader and seeing how many 997.1 had their engine rebuilt, it seems like a lot more than 5% are affected? I definitely can’t afford a 997.2 so if it’s only 5% that would be brilliant!

From that list the obvious choice is the 911 as its been a tried and tested platform for many years and its rare you hear of horror stories about them and most motor journalists agree its 1 supercar you can use as a Daily driver

I drive an M4 Competition and love every bit of it. It's large, yes, the handling is superb and it's quick alright.

I'd love to see an f type convertible for the summer on the channel

I think it would be very interesting to see you do like a buy and sell series where you go from buying a cheaper car and work your way by buying and selling the cars to get to a point where you can buy say a 5-10k car because you obviously know a lot about getting the best value out of a car

I just got a 2013 BMW 650i with the M Sport package. 24, 000 mi - $28, 900!!

Not so sure about the Elise but if it's on the list then why not get a VX220? They're more like £15-20k.
TVR Chimaeras are well within the price range too and so are Griffiths but I guess having lots of TVRs isn't necessary if the Tuscan is there (although there's not one on Autotrader for under £30k atm).
