Wes Streeting has warned that the NHS will get no extra funding from Labour without “major surgery” or reform, including more use of the private sector.

The Shadow Health Secretary insisted he would not be put off by “middle-class lefties” who cry “betrayal” over using the private sector to bring down waiting lists - adding he was “up for the fight” with NHS unions.

It is the latest in a series of bold statements about the health service by Mr Streeting, who said Labour will only give the NHS an extra £1billion pounds if medics work weekends to ensure more patients are seen.

TalkTV's Daisy McAndrew is joined by chief political correspondent at the Times, Aubrey Allegretti, and journalist Mike Buckley who says Labour can afford to push certain voters away because of their significant lead in polls.

Funny how our Local Labour MPs are closing as many NHS facilities and services as possible in Birmingham.
More Labour BS voting REFORM.

We are £3 trillion in debt plus interest on that 😮 the days of throwing money at the nhs are over, they all ready receive 20% of the governments tax intake, so it’s more taxes or cuts elsewhere like education, benefits, wage cuts to government paid employees, you can’t have it all I’m afraid 🙄
