Mavericks take on the Clippers in GM 5 with the series tied at 2-2. Kristaps Porzingis must be special for the Mavs to have a chance to retake the series lead as they come back to Dallas on Friday. Kawhi and the Clippers have been special in the last two games, but can the Mavericks respond with Luka Doncic ailing and the Mavs defense struggling.

Mavs need mental strength, It s not only about tactic but also psychology. Mavs never lost Playoff game at Stample vs Clippers. Also Clippers have chocked before. You need to win the mind game.

On defense, rotate faster off double teams, especially to the weak side corner. Also some zone will keep our bigs down low, protecting the rim, which Rick already started doing last game, but it didn't matter with Luka hurt, so no one really noticed. I did.

Offensively, they didn't go cold, the Clippers just closed out harder and faster on all Dallas shooters. They also put a frenzied kind if pressure on their passers and passing lanes.

So the Flow-O with everybody standing around, wondering what to do next, is not working. So more tactical sets and plays are in order. More pin down picks away from the ball for TGJr and better ball movement around the perimeter, so you can feed the post (KP) at an angle, instead of straight to him where it gets stolen or denied.

Again, these are some things Rick already implemented last game, along with some personell changes, that were all positives. But no one noticed because it didn't matter with a hurt Luka and a loss. I believe with Luka healthy, these small adjustments will make a big difference. Let's Go Mavs!!!

I have been one of the bigger fans of the KP trade but even I'm looking at him sideways now. The paint defense has been atrocious. They are way better then this!
