There are so honest moments in this pod. The Knicks stuff is great. And yes... we talked Tingus Pingus. Full thing drops tomorrow morning. See you there.

I appreciate the open and honest reflection from Kristaps. I like him, and while things didn’t work out for him in Dallas, I don’t hold it against him. It’s hard to when you see how far he’s come along, both as a player and a person. To acknowledge that you didn’t handle a situation as well as you could have, and/or that ego was getting in the way of things, is refreshing to hear. And seeing him relatively healthy and putting up great numbers, first in Washington and now in a winning culture in Boston, really makes me happy, especially since I’ve been a fan of his since his days in New York.

Props to KP for being mature and not bringing conflicts in public

I think one thing to note is that when Porzingis got to Dallas, he and Luka were really looked at as equals. Porzingis had already been an all-star, while Luka was on his way to ROY. And then Luka made that enormous leap in his second season that no one expected, and maybe it caught Porzingis off guard a bit too because at that point, Luka was the clear number 1, rather than them being 1A and 1B.

JJ's got street cred having been a player, He's able to ask deep questions and guys trust him to be able to open up on camera. He also offers personal anecdotes is funny and talks from a place of humility which earns him even more honesty. All hallmarks of a good human and great interviewer. Good job JJ!

They're talking like it was a massive failure. KP averaged 20 with decent efficiency coming off a serious injury. The team had flaws and sometimes the fit isn't perfect, it's not a big deal.

Wow, what a thoughtful and insightful guy. After seeing the way his career has gone, I'm glad to see he is at this place in his life. Keep going, KP

I really like JJ Redick's interviews. He's prepared and has great insight. I imagine that work ethic is what kept him in the NBA for so long Top 20 shooter! (In 3's as per the actual NBA records)

KP didn't work in Dallas as they wanted, but one thing I always like about him was he was always publically honest, respectful, and classy. Always critiquing himself before anyone else. Much respect and hope he finds a good fit eventually 🦄

I like KP, I have no ill will towards him, even though it didn't work out in Dallas. He's matured a lot. Hopefully Luka has too

KP is looking so mature. Glad to see him still being a vet on a team. Hope the rest of his career goes well.

As an NBA fan, I'm very happy for KP that he's having a great career. As a Mavs fan, it's tough to get past how Dallas bought high & sold low on KP. None of it was his faoult

I think it’s bc Luka had to hold the team up by himself when Porzingis went down, and when P came back, it was Luka’s team.

For the few minutes that KP and Luka were on the floor together in serious games (playoffs) they were great together.
Even if there were issues, these 2 dudes could have worked together, as long as KP could remain healthy.

I wish KP well . He's doing well in Boston. At the time Rick was tuned out by players & coaching his last days. Mavs fan base never warmed up to KP, especially when Luka emerged as the go to player. As he stated, immaturity got in the way

Much respect for KP. I would have loved to see it work with Luka, but I'm happy he's found a good situation in Boston.
