Arayes - With Pomegranate Molasses

Arayes Recipe with Pomegranate Twist! 🥙 🫓👇🏼

Ingredients:

4 pita breads (cut into halves or quarters, depending on size)
500g ground lamb or beef (or a mix of both)
1 small onion, finely chopped
2-3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup parsley, finely chopped
1 tbsp Arab 7 spice
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup pomegranate molasses
Olive oil for brushing

Instructions:

Prepare the meat filling: In a large bowl, mix ground meat, onion, garlic, parsley, Arab 7 spice, salt, pepper, and pomegranate molasses. Knead until combined.

Stuff the pita: Cut the pita bread into halves or quarters. Open each piece and stuff with the meat mixture, evenly spreading it inside.

Sear the open ends:Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the pan, then sear the open edge of the pita for about 30 seconds to 1 minute on each side to seal it slightly.

Grilling: Preheat the grill to medium heat. Brush both sides of the stuffed pita with olive oil. Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the meat is cooked through and the pita is crispy.

Air fry: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Brush both sides of the stuffed pita with olive oil. Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden.

Serve: Serve hot with extra pomegranate molasses, or pair with yogurt or tahini sauce.

The meat usually used in one of these would be lamb?

That is kofta!! Arayes has tomatoes, onios garlic spices etc, no parsley.
